Retne is a contemporary artist whose work is held in private collections internationally. His paintings exist at the intersection of abstraction and figuration, focusing on character, presence, and emotional restraint rather than narrative or illustration.
Working intuitively with gesture, texture, and controlled distortion, Retne has developed a recognizable visual language built on simplified forms and a restrained symbolic approach. Alongside his visual art practice, Arvydas Gaiciunas is the founder and leading artist of the internationally recognized Magic Theater DiArchy. Years of working with illusion, perception, and audience psychology have shaped his artistic approach, informing his interest in ambiguity, transformation, and the psychology of viewing.
