Tania Potapenko is a contemporary figurative artist based in Helsinki, Finland. Her work explores the complexities of human life experience, focusing on emotional states that exist beneath composed and controlled exteriors. Through portraiture, she examines moments of inner tension, doubt, and vulnerability, conveyed through subtle shifts in expression, posture, and gaze.

Working primarily with oil and acrylic paint, Tania also engages with printing techniques as a way to expand her artistic language beyond painting. She has a background in academic art training from her adolescence and later pursued a long career in corporate finance before returning fully to painting. Her artistic practice has since been shaped through BFA studies, private programs, and workshops. Today, her work is exhibited in Finland and is held in private collections across Europe and the United States.
